Opera Introduces Aria AI for Android: Elevating Opera’s Native AI Assistant to Smartphones

Opera’s new AI-powered browser, Aria, is now available for all Android users. Aria is marketed as a “free service giving users access to a popular GPT tool paired with live results from the web,” and promises a new browsing experience. To make use of Aria’s powerful AI features, users in more than 180 countries worldwide, including the EU, need to log in with their Opera account or register for free if they don’t have one. Aria can be invoked via a command line, as well as from the browser sidebar, and leverages OpenAI’s GPT technology to optimize web search.

Aria is both a web and browser expert that allows users to collaborate with AI while looking for information on the web, generating text or code, or getting their product queries answered. When it comes to customer support, Aria is knowledgeable about Opera’s entire database of support documentation and uses the company’s current product knowledge to answer users’ questions.
