Exceeding Expectations: Elisa Achieves Marginal but Impressive Improvement in Operating Results

Elisa, a Finnish telecom operator, announced that its operating result improved slightly more than expected. The company’s revenue increased by EUR 11m to EUR 533m in the second quarter of 2023, mainly due to growth in mobile and fixed services. In the first quarter of 2023, Elisa’s revenue increased by EUR 28m to EUR 547m. In the fourth quarter of 2022, Elisa’s revenue increased by 5% from the previous year to EUR 563m, and comparable EBITDA improved by 4% to EUR 185m.

Despite geopolitical challenges and increasing uncertainties, all of Elisa’s businesses have had excellent performance. Elisa is continuing its productivity improvement development, for example by increasing automation and data analytics in different processes, such as customer interaction, network operations, and delivery.
