Jude Bellingham Joins Real Madrid: The Rise of a Young Star

Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. The 19-year-old midfielder has agreed to a six-year contract at the Bernabeu. The deal is worth an initial fee of €103 million, with a further €30 million due in potential add-ons. Bellingham was recently named the Bundesliga’s player of the season after his starring role for Dortmund. He also started all five matches for England at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Real Madrid have a history of signing emerging talents, and Bellingham is considered one of European football’s hottest prospects. He will be presented to the media on Thursday.

Real Madrid paid an initial fee of €103 million ($111 million) for the transfer of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. The deal also includes a further €30 million due in potential add-ons. If all add-ons are met, the fee would surpass the record for an English player, set by Manchester City’s 2021 move for Jack Grealish.
