He died at his home in Carlsbad, California on June 29, according to reports. Arkin was a versatile actor who appeared in over 80 movies and was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning for his role in “Little Miss Sunshine”. He was also a Tony Award-winning stage actor and appeared in several television shows, including “The Kominsky Method”. Arkin’s family released a statement saying, “Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man. A loving husband, father, grand and great grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed“.
