The 12th Vocento NextSpain Forum: Exploring Spain’s Future and Technology’s Role
The twelfth edition of the Vocento NextSpain forum is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, in Zaragoza, with the theme ‘The Spain We Want.’ This event will run from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Etopia Arts and Technology Center. Notable attendees include Natalia Chueca, the mayor of Zaragoza, for the opening, and Carlos Gimeno, the Minister of Economy, Digital Transformation, and Transparency of the Zaragoza City Council, for the closing remarks.
Next Spain is a series of forums organized by Vocento that addresses various challenges facing Spain from an optimistic and inspiring perspective. Topics covered in past editions include technological advancements, Spain’s role as a European film location, issues related to depopulated regions in Spain, talent development, employability, and research in the country.
This event, with Telefónica as the Global Partner, along with Official Partners Santander and Universae, and in collaboration with the Zaragoza City Council, will focus on discussions surrounding cybersecurity and responsible technological development, stressing the importance of good practices and effective communication with society.
The event will commence with a talk by Francisco Hortigüela, founder and CEO of INBusiness 5.0. Following this, the first panel discussion, titled ‘The Major Challenges of AI: Inclusion, Ethics, and Cybersecurity,’ will be moderated by Juan Carlos Fernández Galindo. It will feature insights from Esther Checa Gutiérrez, Director of Innovation at T2Ó, and Gonzalo Perán Pérez, CTO at AIUKEN Cybersecurity.
The second panel, moderated by Alberto Velázquez, a contributor to ‘ABC,’ will include contributions from José Carranceja, Head of Operations for Latam at Blutab Solutions (IBM); Ludi García, Head of Iberia at Marco Comunicación; and Elena Gil Lizasoain, Director of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data at Telefónica Tech. This diverse group of experts will discuss critical aspects of technology and its societal impact.
